Pick your flavour, mmm...

This is pretty cool -- Yvonne at the Cakebox sent us a sketch of what our cupcakes are going to look like with notes about the colours, etc. Fun!

Now we just have to pick the flavours... my favourite is lemon and Jeff's favourite is vanilla with strawberry preserve filling. We can choose one more flavour, so which one would you vote for?

  • Chocolate with chocolate chips
  • Chocolate-orange
  • Just plain chocolate
  • Carrot (with a hint of orange)
  • Coconut
  • More lemon!
  • More vanilla!

Peonies!

I recently booked a florist (a little late in the process, but hey) and decided on the types of flowers we're going to have, namely peonies!

Alyssa and Lesley are going to carry 3 peonies each in shades of pink -- something like this picture, but in a hand-tied bouquet format ;-)

My bouquet is going to be a mix of peonies with a few roses, it's going to smell so good!

The tardy bride

Oops, I've completely neglected this blog. It's been an entire month since my last post and can you believe it -- there are only 2 months and 3 weeks left until the wedding!! Holy smokes!

So what's been going on... Lots really, here's a quick update :D

  • Built a wedding website (email me if you want the link)
  • Finalized the invitations and will be mailing them shortly
  • Had a rockin' Stag and Doe -- thanks everyone!
  • Booked the guys tuxedos
  • Booked the Cakebox to do cupcakes for the wedding
  • Went for a make-up trial
  • Booked hair and make-up appointments for me and the girls
  • Booked a florist
  • Began making thank-you cards
  • Booked a new minister to perform the ceremony -- our previous minister passed away unexpectedly, which is really sad, he was a really nice guy.

I'm still working on finding shoes, jewellery, and accessories; booking chairs for the ceremony; applying for a marriage license; renewing our passports; and a lot more things I can't think of right now :P

It's pretty crazy how much work goes into one little day, but I can't wait -- it's going to be great!
