The tardy bride
Oops, I've completely neglected this blog. It's been an entire month since my last post and can you believe it -- there are only 2 months and 3 weeks left until the wedding!! Holy smokes!
So what's been going on... Lots really, here's a quick update :D
So what's been going on... Lots really, here's a quick update :D
- Built a wedding website (email me if you want the link)
- Finalized the invitations and will be mailing them shortly
- Had a rockin' Stag and Doe -- thanks everyone!
- Booked the guys tuxedos
- Booked the Cakebox to do cupcakes for the wedding
- Went for a make-up trial
- Booked hair and make-up appointments for me and the girls
- Booked a florist
- Began making thank-you cards
- Booked a new minister to perform the ceremony -- our previous minister passed away unexpectedly, which is really sad, he was a really nice guy.
I'm still working on finding shoes, jewellery, and accessories; booking chairs for the ceremony; applying for a marriage license; renewing our passports; and a lot more things I can't think of right now :P
It's pretty crazy how much work goes into one little day, but I can't wait -- it's going to be great!

I'm so glad you went with the cake box! I've been eyeing up their stuff since I was helping my friend Kristina plan her wedding. They look amazing! Can't wait to see the kind you've chosen!

Yeah -- she does amazing stuff! Her cakes are like works of art, but we decided to go for cupcakes -- it made more sense with the size of our wedding and they're pretty cool looking, too!

The cupcakes are awesome! I do have to agree. Also that stupid cake cutting charge that they have. I'd love to go cupcakes but James is pretty much adamant he's not into it.
What flavour cake did you choose?

I'll post a blog re: flavours and show you a picture of the sketch Yvonne at the Cakebox did for us :D
