Pick your flavour, mmm...

This is pretty cool -- Yvonne at the Cakebox sent us a sketch of what our cupcakes are going to look like with notes about the colours, etc. Fun!




Now we just have to pick the flavours... my favourite is lemon and Jeff's favourite is vanilla with strawberry preserve filling. We can choose one more flavour, so which one would you vote for?

  • Chocolate with chocolate chips
  • Chocolate-orange
  • Just plain chocolate
  • Carrot (with a hint of orange)
  • Coconut
  • More lemon!
  • More vanilla!

  • yeah to big pictures! Honestly, I'd split it down the middle with the two flavours. You are going to have two colours of icing so I'd match it. I love both the flavours you chose and if the cupcakes are as good as Kristinas, I know that everyone will love them! I'll have to get her to come to your site and have a look. Everything looks good though!

  • My vote is for lemon :) But the carrot sounds good, hmm, so does the chocolate, oh and coconut ....decisions decisions :) I am glad you are getting married and not me - I think I'll elope so I don't turn into bridezilla with all the decisions :)

  • Ooo... I just found out they can do "chocolate cherry" -- I'm imagining a black forest cake taste, mmm!

    I also like the idea of just doing the 2 flavours, although I think we'd have to do 2/3 one flavour and 1/3 the other. You can get one flavour per batch, and we're getting 3 batches, so...

    And as for the icing -- I don't know if it's just 2 colours, I suppose that would make it easier to know what cupcake you were choosing, but I don't know if that's the case!

    Curtis and I couldnt' choose either so we did two... we had 2 colours for our wedding, so we had chocolate with pink tops and vanilla with purple tops!

    my choice is always chocolate. i can send you a pic of mine if you wish... actually here is one anyway

  • Oooh just found your blog. You seem very organised! I'm getting married this July (15th) and I'm way behind you!! But I do love organising it, its SO much fun. I'm having cupcakes as well for mine and weirdly I wanted peonies but my florist can't get them (apparentely they're out of season? so I'm having lilies and ranunculus instead.

  • My vote is for plain chocolate, or chocolate w chocolate chips, or just plain vanilla... :) But I would go with all the thoughts along which would look best/be coordinated... and colour coding it so guests know what they are getting. Actually i change my vote to any of the ones i did NOT mention above - that way i won't be tempted to eat them (as much...) ;)
    Anyway - the cupcakes are an awesome idea!
