Up to my eyeballs in paper

So I did it; I bought paper to play with.

Jeff and I now have a mess of black, white, off-white, fuschia, green, bubblegum, forest, and soft mint paper -- in varying combinations of vellum, linen, and cardstock -- sitting on our dining room table.

I'm partial to a black, white, and pink mix, but can't quite decide. Jeff likes the green tones and isn't sure about the pink. I wish there was a way to get both green and pink in there, but it just doesn't work...

Here's a digital adaptation of what's sitting, in paper, on our table right now.

Actually, if you just clean up the lines of the little pink leaf, it's pretty accurate. And considering that I drew that leaf free-hand -- on paper it's cut out with a punch -- I'd say it's not bad... not bad at all!

Unfortunately, we can't find a good green paper or we could just replace the pink with green and have 2 versions of the invitation -- pink for me and green for Jeff!

I keep thinking that we'd look pretty silly to the general observer -- two adults, sitting at a dining room table, re-arranging little squares of coloured paper over and over again, looking confused about what to do...

Yep, totally ridiculous!

  • Not sure if you are willing to travel or not, but if you are looking for paper, try quills in Hamilton... www.quills.ca they have tons of paper. I fell in love with them.

  • Oooh... dangerous -- thanks for the tip Khrystena! The Quills website gave me a ton more ideas, and it looks like they might have the elusive green paper I've been after... Now I just have to figure out when I can get down to Hamilton, lol.
