I've been dreaming about invitations

And not in a bad way... although, really, is there a good way to dream about invitations? Here's the story...

Jeff and I went on an impromptu wedding-related outing on Saturday afternoon -- we looked at some wedding bands, stopped by the party store, and tried on some goofy hats. Then I remembered that I'd wanted to check out Scribe's Nook in Waterloo for ideas on making our own wedding invitations.

OMG -- the variety of papers and colours and ideas was mind boggling. Jeff was bored out of his tree, but I was absolutely enthralled. What a weird thing to be totally excited about; if I'd had any cash on me, I swear I would have bought a few sheets of paper and gone straight home to play around.

First flowers, now invites. Who knew I'd be so interested in these things? Oh, and Martha Stewart Weddings is a suprisingly good magazine... I never thought I'd hear myself say that.

  • Hi Jen,

thought I'd check in on your blog since we haven't chatted much lately!
I found another incredible store to spur your accessory desires, and fill your stationery needs! It's called the Paper Tree, and it's uptown Waterloo. Great stuff there! You could actually buy the paper pre-cut and all! And they have lots of envelopes and guest books, and other fun things as well!

    Talk to you soon!

  • Cool, thanks for the tip Khrystena :D

We heard from a couple tux companies that you can get discounts in January & February, so we were going to look then... But, maybe a comparison trip to Cambridge is in order!
