Rewind to Christmas
So Jeff and I had a pretty sweet Christmas, and surprisingly a rather easy time juggling the multi-family schedule. I've heard horror stories from other couples about whirlwind holidays, fights over who gets more time with who, guilt-trips and anxiety attacks, etc. so I was quite relieved when our plans came together with no conflicts and were, relatively speaking, fairly relaxing. Hopefully future Christmases are as kind.
Oh... and I got some sweet gifts, including a vacuum from my mom (yay!) and a killer set of knives (no pun intended) from Jeff. Nothing like going 6 months without a vacuum (eww...), and finally, I have a good set of kitchen knives; I'm still excited!

Oh Jen, you're so domestic now!
Killer knives, eh?
My mom has a magnetic strip nailed to the kitchen wall with knives on it. Rather scary looking, actually. Anyhow, in high school, my mom pointedly suggested to my bf, at the time, that if any harm was done she'd have the resources to 'fix' the situation...nice, eh?

Hee hee... it's pretty bad eh? But deep down, the kitchen has always been calling my name. I've been wanting a good set of knives for years now :P
