Budgeting blues
So I spent most of last night calculating the costs for an outdoor wedding in Jeff's parents' backyard... and came out way over budget. Crap.
That, and I got a reply from a caterer I'd emailed -- one that specializes in outdoor BBQs -- and his entire message was:
Ok, that's depressing...
I was totally sold on the idea of having our wedding in Jeff's parents' backyard, even excited about the planning, and now it looks like we won't be able to afford it :(

Ok, that's depressing...

you can easily afford a cocktail party - was talking to my cousin who is getting married and was an asst. to wedding planners for 2 years - if you have a bbq you need tables & chairs for 50+ people so likely would have to rent, plus cutlery, glassware & plates...just something to think about....

We'd still need a tent though, and that was a big chunk of the budget... Who's up for winning the lottery?!
